Personal study rooms now available

Study Room

Personal study rooms will be made available at Leddy Library this week.

Students can now reserve a three-hour time slot in the morning or afternoon to access a dedicated quiet study space in the library.

“With the upcoming exams approaching, the library has been working on additional health and safety measures to provide students with space for quiet and focused study,” said university librarian Pascal Calarco. “Students can reserve a personal study room within the library complete with dependable wi-fi and power.”

In addition to personal study rooms, the library continues to offer access to computer workstations for student to reserve.

“We know that students may need a place where they can access the internet and work individually with limited distractions,” says Calarco. “Providing this access will give students the option of studying on campus safely by using physical distancing and enhanced health and safety measures.”

Reservations will begin Monday, March 15, and are available by appointment only. The doors of the library continue to be locked and only those who have scheduled an appointment will be permitted to enter the library and must show approval from the Safe Lancer app.

Access to the building is limited to spaces booked by appointment. Students are encouraged to use the library’s Contactless Pickup and Digital Delivery options for accessing its print collections.
