Meet the KSS Team

The Knowledge Synthesis Service (KSS) is supported by a multidisciplinary team of librarians and a statistician who contribute their expertise across consultation, collaboration, and education components. Each member plays a vital role in helping researchers conduct rigorous, transparent, and impactful evidence syntheses.

Service component: Methodology and Search

Adam Mulcaster is a teaching and learning librarian who supports the Knowledge Synthesis Service. He co-instructs the knowledge synthesis graduate course in the Faculty of Nursing and provides expert guidance on resource discovery and research literacy through workshops and consultations.

Service component: Methodology and Search

Roger Reka is an academic librarian specializing in STEM collections and evidence synthesis support. Prior to joining the University of Windsor, he worked at the University of Toronto’s Gerstein Science Information Centre, where he focused full-time on knowledge synthesis services, including systematic reviews and search methodology.

Pascal Calarco is a Scholarly Communications Librarian with extensive leadership experience in academic libraries across North America. He is actively expanding his expertise in knowledge synthesis through professional development and contributes to related services at the Leddy Library.

Service component: Meta-Analysis

Dr. Rong Luo is a Learning Specialist and Statistical Consultant who leads the meta-analysis component of the Knowledge Synthesis Service. She provides expert support in statistical methods and software, helping researchers conduct rigorous quantitative syntheses.
