Designed to enhance the inviting and engaging atmosphere of the Leddy Library, 3 screens will be used as displays for a variety of communications. They are situated at the entrance of the building, entrance to the west building and outside of the Collaboratory. These screens are suitable for the presentation of various forms of communications primarily from the Leddy library and secondly from campus partners.

Use/exhibitor scope:

  • BrightSign display space is intended primarily for official University of Windsor faculties, departments, offices, and recognized campus units. The use of the display screens is subject to approval by the Administration office.
  • Requests from groups external to the University may be considered, only in exceptional circumstances, and on a case-by-case basis.

Objectionable Material:

  • The Library supports an inclusive community, please be respectful.
  • The Library reserves the right to reject material that is discriminatory, profane or otherwise offensive.

Preference of use:

These displays can be used for marketing purposes of University programming/scheduling or as a bulletin-board type information as deemed appropriate by the administrative office.

Special consideration will be given to submissions that utilize the display space in innovative and creative ways.

Submission and selection process:

All proposals must be submitted on the Submission Form for consideration by the Leddy library.

  • Identification of the creator and contact information must be included.
  • Identification of the university department, faculty, or office you are working with.
  • A brief description of event or information to be displayed on Leddy’s Brightsigns.
  • Indicate timeframe during which the sign should be on display.
  • If available, upload a copy of the file that will be displayed.

Leddy library will contact (through the administrative assistant) the requestor for additional information, timing and size of digital poster as needed.

The Leddy Library retains the right of refusal and is not obliged to accept every digital poster offered for display.

If accepted, the Leddy Library retains the right to approve any publicity.

Time frames:

  • Please give a minimum of 10 working days notice prior to your desired display date.
  • Display times/dates should be concrete. Longer timing can be accommodated by mutual agreement.

Technical:

  • Exhibitors are responsible for producing professional looking materials and media.
  • Submissions to display on bright signs should include an attached file, a minimum of 10 business days in advance of the posting, to the Leddy Library for approval.
  • Image files must be in JPG or PNG format, sized at 1920 x 1080 pixels, in landscape orientation (16:9 ratio). Files may be adjusted slightly for size and readability if needed, but designing at 1920 x 1080 will ensure the best display quality.
  • For portrait: 9:16 ratio, format JPG or PNG. 1920x1080 pixel
  • No video/audio or slideshows will be accepted
  • Displays will be removed at the agreed date and time by the Leddy library

The Leddy Library reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a digital display booking at any time.
