Study Room Policies

Group Study Room Policies

  • Access to group study rooms requires checking out a key at the information desk.
    • Keys must be returned to the desk at the end of your booking. 
    • Keys are assigned to YOUR UWin account. DO NOT share your key with another student. Late charges will accrue on your account if it is not returned.
  • Room bookings are automatically canceled if you do not arrive within 30 minutes of the start of your booking.
  • Masks are required where physical distancing of two meters cannot be maintained. This includes classrooms, laboratories, meeting rooms, conference rooms, vehicles, lounges, and shared spaces.
  • Eating is not allowed. 
  • Lidded drinks are permitted.
  • Follow all library policies while in the building.
  • Please cooperate with library staff. We are working to ensure a safe environment for everyone on campus.
  • Use of Alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, vape pens, and other smoking devices is not permitted at any time within the library. Possession or use of any of these items in the library may result in the loss of library access. 

Booking Limits

  • Groups Study Rooms may be booked for up to 3 hours in 30 min segments.
  • You may place 2 bookings per day, not back to back.
  • Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance.
  • Bookings will be automatically released by the system if you don't arrive within 30 minutes from the start of your booking.

Personal Study Room Policies

  • Personal Study rooms are bookable by individuals for personal use only. These rooms are zoned by Health and Safety for single occupancy. 
  • Use of Alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, vape pens, and other smoking devices is not permitted at any time within the library. Possession or use of any of these items in the library may result in the loss of library access

  • Rooms may be booked for up to 3 hours in 30 min segments.
  • Users may make a maximum of 3 bookings per day.
  • Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance.
