Contactless pickup and digital delivery services at Leddy Library are now available to all undergraduate students.The library launched the new services to resume the borrowing of physical materials in mid-July to faculty and graduate students.

Contactless pickup and digital delivery services begin this week at the Leddy Library.The library will now allow patrons to request and pick up physical loan materials via the library website. Patrons may place requests online for physical resources, with pickup dates beginning Friday, July 17.

Beginning Sunday, July 12, the OMNI academic search used by Leddy Library will roll out a new Central Discovery Index (CDI) to improve the search experience.
The CDI will allow users to access more granular resource types and will increase access to more electronic resources via merged central indexes.

Librarian, Heidi Jacobs, has been named as one of 11 authors on the longlist for the Leacock Medal for Humour Writing. Jacobs is nominated for her debut novel Molly of the Mall: Literary Lass and Purveyor of Fine Footwear.
Set in Edmonton in the 1990s, Molly of the Mall allowed Jacobs to tell a unique story about the Canadian city she grew up in.

When Leddy Library’s archivist Sarah Glassford opened her mail last week, she found copies of her new book on Canadian women’s Second World War experiences, aptly titled Making the Best of It. Flipping through the pages she couldn’t help but notice parallels between wartime and the current COVID-19 pandemic — especially the significance of community to both.
