The Leddy Library Master Space Planning Committee hosted the first of several consultation days on January 16th to gather feedback from stakeholders about how to transform the library space into an innovative hub for learning, teaching, research, and creative activity.
No “swiping right” this Valentine’s Day! Leddy Library is bringing back Blind Date with a Book.
The Leddy team has carefully selected and wrapped eligible books who will be waiting patiently for their special readers starting today.
“The initiative mimics the concept of blind date and offers a sense of mystery,” says co-op librarian Zina Hirmiz, who helped select this year’s bachelor books. “Readers won’t know the identity of the book until it has been checked out and unwrapped.”
The University of Windsor’s Leddy Library invites applications for a Twelve (12)-month Limited-Term Academic Ancillary Staff Level I, Learning Specialist in the field of Academic Data and Statistical Consulting, commencing as early as May 1, 2020. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Leddy Library’s Centre for Digital Scholarship will kick-off two workshop series next week to help researchers explore new ways to showcase their research and scholarly activity.
The first series, Creating Digital Exhibits, includes four workshops on how to create unique digital exhibits to showcase scholarly work and research.
The Leddy Library welcomes the Windsor Public Library Bookmobile back to campus every third Wednesday, starting January 22.
The scheduled visits correspond with the item loan period, allowing patrons to return borrowed material directly to the bookmobile.

Library staff and librarians will conduct 20-minute tours of the building and its facilities starting at the information desk at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, January 21 to 23.
Students who attend may enter a draw to win a $50 gift card to the Campus Bookstore.
The tours are free with no need for advance registration.

The Leddy Library Master Space Planning Committee is hosting the first of several consultation days over the next six months to determine how to transform the library space into an innovative campus hub for learning, teaching, research, and creative activity.
The University of Windsor libraries in partnership with 13 other Ontario university libraries will launch a new services platform and search tool in the new year.
From December 19th to January 6th the library will be updating its integrated library system. The update is taking place during the holiday break to minimize disruptions during exams while ensuring we are up and running as quickly as possible for the Winter 2020 term.
As a result, there is an important service change for the Library’s Course Resource List system during that timeframe.
