For 10 weeks, 10 women from across the globe met at the Leddy Library for their weekly Shoe Projectworkshop, a program designed to help newcomer women improve their language and communication skills through writing and public speaking. Demonstrating a commitment to employment equity is something she tries to do every day, says associate university librarian Karen Pillon.

An extensive collection of more than 2,600 political cartoons by well-known social commentator Mike Graston has been donated to the University of Windsor’s Archives and Special Collections housed in Leddy Library.
Graston, whose regular contributions to the editorial pages of the Windsor Star spanned three and half decades, presented a unique look at local, provincial, national, and international events and the individuals who shaped them.
The University of Windsor will host Alan Ojig Corbiere, assistant professor of history at York University and Canada Research Chair in History of Indigenous Peoples of North America, during Treaties Recognition Week, Nov. 6 to 12.
Deep in the basement of the Leddy Library lies a fascinating collection of manuscripts, photographs, and special published works. These archives will welcome the public to see historical highlights spanning from the 1600s to the 2000s during Doors Open Windsor.
The free event invites local residents to be tourists in their own city and features 30 sites to visit Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25.
