The Leddy Library has two display cases where we showcase aspects of our collections and highlight particular events. Sometimes we lend out the use of display case; right now in our front lobby you can find a great display promoting the new University of Windsor mobile app.
Faculty and graduate students have the ability to borrow most items from the Leddy Library for a loan periods of a semester.
Books currently out on semester loan will be due on September 15th, so please be sure to either renew these items or return them to the library shortly.

As you may have noticed, we have a new library website. It has all sorts of new features including short videos to help you with Research Help and Writing Help.
Just a reminder that Leddy will be open Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2: from 1pm to 8pm and open on Monday, September 3 (Labour Day)from 8am to 8pm.

Friday is the last day of the Summer Session Exam period. During our Summer Session Recess Period (August 25 to September 3) the library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. Please see our hours page for more details and more information.
Interesting. If you have a profile on Google Scholar, the service will match your past research record with new research. Essentially, it's a recommended reading service.
You can't add your research into a your citation profile if a GoogleBot can't find your work under your name (which is a little problematic because I changed my name some years ago and the work I've done under it doesn't exist in my current profile).
The Leddy Library will be closed on Monday, August 6th, for the Civic Holiday.

This September about 200 students in a course on Management Information Systems will taking part of a new pilot project spearheaded by the Leddy Library. The project is a partnership with Flatworld Knowledge to provide free and open online peer-reviewed textbooks that are also available for a variety of digital readers - including the iPad, Kindle and Nook - while also being available in print at a fraction of the traditional cost of a paper textbook. This pilot is the first of its kind in Canada.
Today, student leaders from Coalition large de l'Association pour une Solidarité Syndicale Étudiante (CLASSE) who helped organize the massive students protests in Quebec earlier this year will be on the University of Windsor campus as part of a speaking tour. The panel discussion begins at 5 p.m. in the Commons area of the CAW Student Centre.
