The Leddy library is excited to announce its recent increase in coverage of the historic newspaper, the Detroit Free Press. Previously covering issues from 1831-1922, Leddy now has access to 1923-1999 as well!

At this time the request option is not working within our library catalogue. The request option normally allows users to recall a book that is currently signed out by another user.

Starting on Monday February 12th we will be conducting some regular sweeps of the library to help us assess space use. You may notice some of our staff wandering up and down the building with clipboards during this time. They will collecting information on how many patrons are using different spaces in the building. They will not be collecting information about any of our patrons.

Special Funds used to Expand Indigenous Collection

This year, $50,000 of the library’s collection budget was set aside to strengthen strategic areas of the book collection, as identified by librarians and informed by academic and research needs. One area that the library prioritized is the expansion of our existing collection of books by indigenous authors and publishers.

Dave Yott, Acquisitions/Bibliographic Services Coordinator at the Leddy Library, has won an Employee Recognition Award for Excellence in Health & Safety.  He has been with the Leddy Library for over twelve years.
