A retrospective on the career of a Chatham athlete who broke multiple racial barriers in the early 20th century will be featured on the Leddy Library’s Centre for Digital Scholarship website in 2017.

Assumption College Football Players c.1951
Founded in 1857, Assumption University was the parent institution of the University of Windsor that we know today. Football was part of the athletic life of Assumption College just as it is today at the University of Windsor. Leading up to the Super Bowl this weekend, we'll be sharing some pictures and tidbits from Windsor's football past!
The Public History 497 Digital Archive at the University of Windsor brings together thematically organized digitized archival materials from the Leddy Library that capture part of the unique history of Windsor & Essex County. Students in the class selected materials on various topics, worked to digitize those materials and build an online exhibit using the Omeka digital exhibits software, and also contributed their unique historical scholarship to bring these items to life.
