The First World War: Personal Experiences from Adam Mattew is a wonderful collection of primary source documents drawn from archives across the globe. The documents are varied in scope and offer a remarkable window on the lives and experiences of men and women during the First World War. The resource is designed for both teaching and study, from undergraduate to research students and beyond.
This semester, History majors from the University of Windsor took part in an innovative new class, History on the Web(43-397). Team taught by Dr Rob Nelson (History) and Dr Heidi LM Jacobs (Leddy Library), students engaged in a range of projects that investigated issues related to how history is presented, preserved and made accessible on the web. We talked about public history, academic history, spatial history alongside issues of open access, digital preservation, and digital curation.
