As announced by the Government of Ontario on Monday, January 3, the province moved to a “modified step 2 of the roadmap to reopen” effective 12:01 am January 5, 2022, for at least 21 days. The Leddy Library building is temporarily closed to visitors. All library services continue to be available remotely.

The Leddy Library is extending study hours for exam season.Beginning Monday, Dec. 6, the library will be open:Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 midnightSunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.The library will remain closed on Saturdays.On Wednesday, Dec. 22, the library will close at 4 p.m. and will remain closed for the winter break until Sunday, Jan. 2.

Interlibrary loans closed for holiday breaks

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service will be closed during the holidays. Patrons wishing to borrow material from other libraries are encouraged to place the request by Friday, December 10th. The last day of receiving material from other libraries is December 22, 2021.

Soldier’s biography and creative work now available online

UWindsor English professor Thomas Dilworth’s commercially published biography on war veteran and artist, David Jones, is now available as an online resource, thanks to Leddy Library.The new digital version is a slight revision of the original transcript that is three times longer than the print publication and includes 174 more reproductions of Jones’ artwork.

Laptop lending now available at Leddy Library

With more classes and events taking place online, the Leddy Library is now offering patrons the opportunity to borrow a laptop computer.The library has secured a limited number of Chromebook laptops for patron use. Active University of Windsor students, faculty, and staff with no outstanding fines are eligible to borrow a laptop for a 24-hour loan.
