Copyright law in Canada provides all authors and creators with exclusive rights to reproduce, perform, and publish their work. (Government of Canada, 2022). However, copyright doesn't last forever and eventually does expire.

An extensive collection of more than 2,600 political cartoons by well-known social commentator Mike Graston has been donated to the University of Windsor’s Archives and Special Collections housed in Leddy Library.
Alan Ojig Corbiere, Canada Research Chair in History of Indigenous Peoples of North America, will present “Back to Basics: the Anishinaabe Understanding of the Covenant Chain and the 1764 Treaty of Niagara” on Nov. 11 in the Leddy Library Collaboratory.

An art installation on display this week in the Leddy Library honours Orange Shirt Day.   Located in the library’s main stairwell, the installation contains roughly 6,000 small orange shirts strung together to acknowledge the unofficial number of unmarked graves of Indigenous children found on the grounds of former residential schools in the U.S. and Canada.

The Leddy Library surprised students this month with three new spaces designed to enhance their wellness. These spaces have been designated as “wellness rooms”: two in the main building on the second and third floors, and one in the west building on the third floor. Each room is equipped with dimmable lighting and cozy furniture to help students relax.
