Archival materials relating to the university and the wider community are currently arranged by accession and described according to the Rules of Archival Description (RAD).
AtoM: Under Construction
More than 50 of our fonds and collections are now fully described in our new Access to Memory (AtoM) database, and new descriptions are added as they become available. Check them out!Search Archival Database
Populating our AtoM database is part of a major, multi-year project to reorganize our holdings into fonds and collections. This is a work-in-progress, and the majority of our holdings are not yet represented in the AtoM database. This includes all university-related collections. Please stay tuned for updates as we continue the slow, detailed work of building this rich new access point for discovery.
In the Meantime: Old Database & Short Register of Accessions
We continue to maintain our old database (which is not online or publicly accessible) during this transition period. We encourage you to contact us at archive@uwindsor.ca or 519-253-3000 ext. 3851 so that we can search our old database for additional materials relevant to your research.Additionally, a basic listing of our archival accessions is available in the Short Register of Accessions This is an inventory of what was donated to us, in chronological order. However, we have many items that are not well represented in the Short Register, and new items are added regularly -- we therefore encourage you to contact us at archive@uwindsor.ca or 519-253-3000 ext. 3851 for research assistance.
