Upcoming Event: Presentations by James Elmborg

Two presentations by James Elmborg are happening on March 8th and 9^th, 2017 at the University of Windsor.

March 8, 10:00: “Critical Library Practice and Why It Matters”, Leddy Library 302, West Building.

March 9, 4:00: “Digital Humanities and New Modes of Collaborative Scholarship”, Memorial Hall 105.

James Elmborg maintains a longstanding interest in information literacy in academic contexts, and directs the Public Digital Humanities Graduate Certificate program at the University of Iowa.  In 2003, he initiated one of the first digital humanities projects at The University of Iowa: The Virtual Writing University Archive was a collection of recordings of creative writers talking about their work, which encompasses approximately 2,000 recordings. In addition to serving on various committees, he is also co-PI on a grant called Digital Bridges for Humanistic Inquiry. This project, he writes, “explores and expands what we know and understand about creativity in the humanities while breaking new ground in collaboration between these two very different kinds of institutions.”
