This semester, History majors from the University of Windsor took part in an innovative new class, History on the Web(43-397). Team taught by Dr Rob Nelson (History) and Dr Heidi LM Jacobs (Leddy Library), students engaged in a range of projects that investigated issues related to how history is presented, preserved and made accessible on the web. We talked about public history, academic history, spatial history alongside issues of open access, digital preservation, and digital curation. As a way of bringing the course ideas together, students were invited to create digital artifacts to explore these issues in whatever format and approach they desired. The results are fascinating and inspiring. Here are links to our students' projects.
