Title | Description |
Attribution CC BY https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ | Others may distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work (even commercially) as long as they credit you, the creator for the original creation. This is the most flexible and accommodating of the available Creative Commons licenses. It is recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials. |
Attribution-NoDerivs CC BY-ND https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0/ | This license allows for redistribution, commercial and non-commercial, as long as the licensed work is passed along unchanged and in whole, and credit is given to you the creator. |
Attribution-NonCommercial CC BY-NC https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ | This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially. The new work must acknowledge you, the creator, and the adapter must not use the new work for commercial purposes. |
Attribution-ShareAlike CC BY-SA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ | This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon the work (even for commercial purposes) as long as the creator is credited and all new creations are licensed under the identical terms. This license is often compared to "copyleft" free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. This is the license used by Wikipedia, and is recommended for materials that would benefit from incorporating content from Wikipedia and similarly licensed projects. |
Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike CC BY-NC-SA https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ | This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you, the creator, and license their new creations under the identical terms. |
Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs CC BY-NC-ND https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ | This license is the most restrictive of the six main licenses, only allowing others to download your works and share them with others as long as they credit the creator, but they cannot change them in any way or use them commercially. |
