Practical Ethics: Issues and Perspectives now published through open access

Journal of the CSSPE

The Leddy Library is proud to announce the publication of Volume One of the proceedings from The Canadian Society for the Study of Practical Ethics

Each year, The Canadian Society for the Study of Practical Ethics hosts a conference in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. In keeping with the mandate of the Congress, the CSSPE/SCEEA is interested in practical ethics broadly construed. The papers were presented at some of the recent conferences of the CSSPE/SCEEA and are now published and available online.

The editors write:

It is our hope that readers will find these papers refreshing in the perspectives that they bring to practical ethics. Representing the work of philosophers, historians, and social scientists, they cover a range of topics and ideas one is not likely to encounter at more specialized conferences in practical ethics.

Readers are encouraged to develop their own responses to these contributions and, if possible, fashion them into papers and presentations for future CSSPE/SCEEA conferences. If you would like to know more about the CSSPE/SCEEA or become a member, please visit our website at www.csspe.ca
