In March we celebrate Social Work Week in Ontario (March 3rd to 9th) and National Social Work Month for Canada. This year’s theme for the Ontario Association of Social Workers is Wherever you are, so are we. OASW notes that this theme “…speaks to the availability and versatility of the social work profession, highlighting its critical role in addressing a growing and universal problem – access to care” ( https://www.oasw.org/Public/Public/Social_Work_Week/Social_Work_Week.aspx). In a similar vein, the theme for the Canadian Association of Social Workers is Social Work is Everywhere and CASW notes that its theme “…highlights the vast and diverse impact of the social work profession, reaching into every corner of our communities to create meaningful change and support individuals, families, and groups” ( https://www.socialworkiseverywhere.ca/). In honour of this month, the Leddy Library has put together a curated collection of social work books covering a wide range of topics for students, educators and practitioners, see: Foundations of Social Work: Selected Readings
