Antoinette “Anto” Seymour is Librarian/Faculty at Leddy Library and also a member of the UWindsor Black Scholars Institute. Born at Nassau, Bahamas, she is also a professional archivist withe the inherent task of facilitating the preservation of culture, heritage, history, identity, legacy and memory. Anto obtained received the following degrees: AA English Language & Literature [University of The Bahamas], BA (Hons) Communication Studies [University of Windsor], MEd Educational Administration, Management & Policy [University of Bristol] and MSc Information Management & Preservation [University of Glasgow]. Her research interests include Caribbean Diaspora as well as Chess as an Educational and Mental Health Tool, as she is a multi-time national and regional chess champion and a Chess Olympiad title holder.
