The Leddy Library’s access to the key psychology database PsycINFO will switch from the American Psychological Association (APA) platform to the ProQuest platform on May 1, 2020. The Library provided a trial of PsycINFO on the ProQuest platform last year and this was preferred to the other available options.
While the switch will change the platform, the library is maintaining the same level of access as before, so no content is being lost. Researchers will now be able to use the powerful and approachable ProQuest platform when searching PsycINFO along with several other products provided by the APA (PsycARTICLES and PsycTESTS).
Users who wish to keep any saved searches or alerts they have set up on the APA platform should save their content elsewhere so that they can load them into the ProQuest platform.
For further information or assistance faculty and students can contact their liaison librarian or Adam Mulcaster, Leddy liaison to the Department of Psychology (adam.mulcaster@uwindsor.ca).
