Monday, October 21st is the start of International Open Access Week. “Open Access (OA) literature is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. What makes it possible is the internet and the consent of the author or copyright-holder” (Peter Suber). Open Access projects such as the University of Windsor’s Scholarship@UWindsor and Leddy Library’s Journal Publishing allow scholars and researchers to broadly distribute their work to the readers who would most benefit.
To celebrate this year’s Open Access Week, we are inviting students and faculty to take part in the Leddy Library’s five-day Scholarly Impact Challenge. The challenge is a gentle way for you to improve the impact of your research, find metrics, and find people to collaborate with in research.
Everyone who participates will receive one email per day with a link to a detailed guide on the 'challenge' or task of the day that will take 10 minutes to complete. The program is done entirely by email and starts on Monday, October 21st.
If you would like to participate, please sign up by end of Monday, October 21st here: http://eepurl.com/grK4Z5
