The dataset is a revised version of the original Ontario Provincial Land Cover Data and provides a classification of 27 broad land cover types north of the southern boundary of the Canadian Shield. The inventory represents the landscape from 1998 to 2002. For southern Ontario, refer to the Southern Ontario Land Resource Information System (SOLRIS).
