Award-winning author Karolyn Smardz Frost will be speaking on March 16^th, 2017 at the University of Windsor.

Karolyn Smardz Frost is a historian and archeologist who is currently a Senior Research Fellow for African-Canadian History at  the Harriet Tubman Institute, York University and Adjunct Professor, Department of History and Classics, Acadia University. She has worked extensively in the areas of public history, African-Canadian history and archeology, and is author of the 2007 Governor-General’s Award winning book (for non-fiction) I’ve Got a Home in Glory Land: A Lost Tale of the Underground Railroad. Her most recent work is the co-edited collection A Fluid Frontier: Slavery, Resistance, and the Underground Railroad in the Detroit River Borderland (Wayne State University Press, 2016). Dr. Frost’s current research is a digital public history/archeology project featuring sites associated with the history of slavery in Nova Scotia.
