Happy Open Access Week UWindsor!
Open Access (OA) is a type of scholarly publishing where research and scholarship are made freely available to all, and where redistribution and reuse are encouraged, oftentimes by assigning a Creative Commons License to a work. International Open Access Week (Oct. 21 - 27) is an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of OA, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues around the globe, and to help inspire wider participation in OA publishing. This year’s theme is the same as last year’s: Community over Commercialization. As stated on the International Open Access Week website, this theme calls us to “…prioritize approaches to open scholarships that serve the best interests of the public and the academic community.”
At Leddy Library, we’re celebrating in a lot of different ways. Celebrate with us by…
