The mission of the Academic Data Centre is to work with faculty, staff, researchers, and students through consultation, instruction, and research assistance at various stages of the research data lifecycle. The graph below highlights the key areas of service we provide at each stage. Please click the individual items (e.g., Data Analysis) under Service Areas in the left navigation panel for more details.
We provide short-term consultations through various formats, including email correspondence, in-person or virtual meetings. Simply email email@example.com to ask a question or set up an appointment. We also offer virtual data labs through Blackboard between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, where you can drop in for help without an appointment.
Typically offered toward the beginning and middle of the fall and winter semesters, we offer Research Data Workshop Series that covers a range of topics and methods for data-driven research. These workshops are free and open to the public. We also provide in-class instruction sessions for discovering and using numeric/geospatial data, research data management, using statistical and GIS software, or more customized instruction tailored to the needs of the course. Customized instruction is available by request (firstname.lastname@example.org), pending ADC staff availability and expertise.
Data specialists at the Academic Data Centre may be available to partner with University of Windsor researchers on more in-depth projects. Please complete this form to let us know about the nature of your research. The ability to partner on longer-term projects is based on staff availability and project scope. We will contact you after completing the form to start a conversation about your research project. We welcome any questions at email@example.com.
