Berenica is the Research Data Services Coordinator at Leddy Library. In this capacity, she is responsible for coordinating and managing Research Data Services. She also co-leads with the Office of Research & Innovation Services the development and deployment of research data management services for the University of Windsor community as part of a campus-wide initiative. Berenica also serves as the Academic Director for the University of Windsor's Statistics Canada Research Data Centre. In her capacity as a data librarian, Berenica also helps researchers and students locate and use data sources for research, teaching or coursework.
Berenica's research interests focus on social determinants of health for marginalized populations with an intersectional lens. Berenica also has a keen interest in research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative. Berenica worked as an academic librarian for 25 years, including as a data librarian at UC San Diego, the University of Toronto and McGill University prior to coming to the University of Windsor.
