DMTI Postal Code Geography
DMTI Spatial Inc., various years (up to 2014)
The data set includes six-digit postal codes for all of Canada as well as related boundary files (Forward Sortation Areas (FSA), Local Delivery Units (LDU)). There are two types of postal codes provided, Unique Enhanced Postal Codes (UEP), and Multiple Enhanced Postal Codes (MEP). UEP is used more frequently because it provides a 1:1 relationship between postal codes and Statistics Canada's standard census geography. MEP takes into account that in some newer subdivisions, many streets will share the same postal code. The instructions for creating the UEP from the MEP can be found in the User Guide.
