OGDE Fundamental Dataset
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, 2003
Vector topographic data at a scale of 1:10,000 for Southern Ontario and 1:20,000 for Northern Ontario and divided by either MNR Districts (26) or MNR Regions (3).It contains various GIS coverage, most of which are the equivalent of features (e.g., airports, buildings, contour lines and spot heights, drainage, municipal boundaries, pits and quarries, roads, railways, utility lines, waterbodies and wetlands) on topographic maps in the Ontario Base Map (OBM) series and is maintained in the Natural Resources and Values Information System (NRVIS). If you want seamless data for large areas, request OGDE Fundamental Data, if you want digital tiles that correspond to the original Ontario Base map boundaries, request OBM data instead.
Format: ESRI Shapefiles (.shp)
Access: Request from ADC

Ontario Base Map (OBM) Digital Topographic Data
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, 2002
Detailed digital topographic data based on the Ontario Base Maps (OBM). Southern Ontario is covered at 1:10,000; Northern Ontario is covered at 1:20,000. Each tile consists of 35 base classes (e.g., water, roads, contours, buildings etc.). 17 of the 35 classes are based on the original OBM layers. OBMs were created and updated between 1977 and 2000. They are no longer updated. Use layers from the OGDE Fundamental Data Set for the most current topographic data.
Format: ArcInfo Export (.e00)
Access: Request from ADC and some layers can be downloaded through Ontario Base Mapping
OGDE: Provincial Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) v2.0.0
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, 2006
DEM tiles that cover Ontario to the 51st parallel at a resolution of 10 metres in Southern Ontario and 20 metres in Northern Ontario.
Format: Binary Float/Header (.dem)

Ontario Radar Digital Surface Model (DSM)
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, 2012
The DSM data was created using spaceborne C-Band interferometric radar data collected in February 2000, which effectively avoided cloud effect at a higher spatial resolution (30m). The current provincial digital elevation models cover only the southern half of Ontario with little for North Boreal or Lowland coverage. This Radar DSM will fill in the provincial elevation data gap and extends north from 49 degree latitude north.

Southern Ontario Digital Terrain Model (DTM) 2002
J.D. Barnes First Base Solutions, 2002
Derived from southern Ontario orthophotos with 10 cm resolution, the DTM represents a topographical surface, specifically a regular grid of spot heights and breaklines noticeable changes in slope. The terrain model data is divided into "tiles" and provided in DWG format with 3D polylines. Tile numbers correspond to the same number as the Ontario Ortho Photographs. The areas include Toronto, Niagara, Peel, Halton, York, Simcoe, Durham, Hamilton.

Southern Ontario Digital Terrain Model (DTM) 2005
J.D. Barnes First Base Solutions, 2005
This file contains data from 2005 as an update to the 2002 DTM product and contains new data for the following regions/counties: Wellington, Peel, Toronto, Dufferin, Simcoe, Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, Northumberland, Hastings & Prince Edward. Coverage is not complete for most regions.
