Approximately 27 000 pages of text and images included are biographies, autobiographies, personal narratives, speeches, diaries, letters and oral histories. When complete IBIO will include 100 000 pages of text and images. Full length reference works also are included to give background and context to the narratives.

North American Indian Thought and Culture brings together more than 100,000 pages, many of which are previously unpublished, rare, or hard to find. The project integrates autobiographies, biographies, Indian publications, oral histories, personal writings, photographs, drawings, and audio files.
