A catalogue and collection of primary source materials primarily designed for genealogical research, but also helpful for historical work. FamilySearch contains both a catalogue of print and online records and also an online repository of digitized materials. The resource also contains records and digitized materials of Windsor-Essex church records, cemeteries, directories, obituaries, public records, and more.
FamilySearch is a service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
How to access FamilySearch
While anyone can search the catalogue and discover metadata for free, access to the digitized materials requires the following:
- Use of one of two public computers in the Leddy Library
- Registration of a FamilySearch account (free)
The two computers are located in the basement of the main building of Leddy Library, in the Media Centre (opposite the Archives & Special Collections). These computers, LED-393789-N12 and LED-39622-N11, are designated with signage.
