Roger joined the University of Windsor in 2018. As a member of the Acquisitions and Bibliographic Services Department, he works primarily to analyze, develop, and maintain the library's collection of e-resources. Roger works with and provides service to the Ontario Council of University Libraries and the Canadian Research Knowledge Network to advance information resource licensing collectively.
His role also includes supporting students and faculty from the departments of biomedical sciences, chemistry, and biochemistry, and integrative biology through research data management, information literacy instruction, one-on-one research consultations, help with bibliometrics, open access and material selection. Roger holds the rank of Librarian I.
Roger's area of professional and research focus centres on programmatic and data-driven approaches to collections analysis, knowledge syntheses, and science misinformation. He is also a certified Carpentries instructor, and enjoys teaching newbies how to code.
Prior to joining Leddy Library, Roger worked at the University of Toronto's Gerstein Science Information Centre supporting health science research and education. He formerly served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve and retired as a captain.
