The Women's and Gender Studies Librarian is investigating Disability in the Modern World, a resource currently under development, in order to better understand the range of its content, potential relevance, and utility, with no intent to purchase at this time.
Currently, this resource promises primary sources covering the history of the social movements surrounding disability. It is intended to be a comprehensive and international set of resources in a wide range of disciplines, from media studies to philosophy. Its focus on disability studies helps address a pressing need to examine the history of disability through ‘a thoughtfully curated mix of primary and secondary sources from the field’.
This Trial is posted for similarly interested people and comments or feedback may be sent to the Women's and Gender Studies Librarian at jsoutter @ uwindsor.ca. Available, as noted, until March 31st, 2021.
