Library Accounts FAQ

Accessing the library's physical and e-resources depends upon the user group you are a member of. Please review the table below to determine your level and method of access.

Electronic resources

UWindsor student, faculty, or staffUse your student or staff card to sign out physical items (books, videos, headsets...)

Login with your UWin ID and password to review your active loans and loan history.
 
While on campus, most e-resources (articles, ebooks, etc.) will be available to you without login.

While off-campus you will be prompted to log in with your UWin Account and password to access e-resources.  
Community borrowers and alumniContact us to sign-up as a community borrower or create an alumni account. 

Login with your community borrower account to review your active loans and loan history.
 
Access to e-resources is not available to community borrowers except while in the library at our open computer terminals. 

Alumni, have access to some e-resource platforms.
Adjuncts and temporary affiliatesTo access physical collections you must sign-up as a community borrower (see above). Access to e-resources through a "friends account" requires an email request provided by a Windsor Faculty or Staff member from the sponsoring department. If approved, you will need to provide a personal email for your account and end date for your affiliation.
