Oxford Handbooks Online - Music

Leddy Library provides access to the entire collection of Oxford Handbooks Online in Music (69 volumes) form a network of reference articles on current scholarship in all areas of music research including historical musicology, ethnomusicology, theory, pedagogy, dance, and technology. While OHO aims to provide reference works for any current field of inquiry, the series pays particular attention to newly established and emerging fields.   The essays are addressed primarily to scholars who require access to the current state of scholarship in a given field, and they present in-depth investigations by leading scholars.  Some of the titles in this Handbooks series include: Applied Ethnomusicology, Community Music, Music and Queerness, Social Justice in Music Education, Music Censorship and Music Education.

Leddy Library subscribes to the Core collection and the Playwrights Canada Press collection.  Provding more than 1000 plays and greater than 100 monographs, from curriculum classics to contemporary works, this resource offers "Play Tools" including Character Grids, Words and Speech graphs and Part Books for a new way of engaging with plays for close study or for performance.
