Starting this semester, when you use Omni you will be searching our physical and electronic resources – and the physical collections of all 15 Omni partner libraries in Ontario. This gives you easy access to the broader collection of Ontario's university libraries, letting you discover relevant materials from across the province. You can easily switch back to searching just the Windsor collection by using the drop-down menu on the main search bar or by checking off the "Available in UWindsor Libraries" filter on the left.
To request an item from another partner library, perform a search in Omni. When you see items that say "Not available locally, click for more options", that means this book is only available from another Omni library. Click the link, sign in with your UWin ID, and submit a request to have that book shipped to Windsor. Omni automatically finds the item at one of our partner libraries, who will then send it to Leddy Library at no charge to you. You will be emailed when your item is ready for pickup.
Most items can be borrowed for 120 days. You can renew items from other institutions in your library account online. Most requests arrive within 3 business days, and in some cases, items may take up to 7 to 10 business days. Our goal is to reduce this delivery time as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and libraries return to business as usual.
