Nursing Program – Collaborative Baccalaureate

Purpose and Scope: 
To explain the privileges and procedures for Nursing Program students who are part of the Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program – both at U. of Windsor and at St. Clair and Lambton Colleges
Procedures: 

The following is from: History of the Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program located online at
http://www.uwindsor.ca/nursing

-the first class of students was admitted to the Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program in
September 2001

-students begin their classes at either Lambton College (Sarnia), the University of Windsor, St. Clair
College (Windsor campus), or St. Clair College (Thames campus)

-the curriculum model provides for the first two years of the program to be offered on all four sites

-all students then move to the University campus for their third year courses and the first semester of their
fourth year

-they will conclude their programs by registering on their original home campus for the second semester
of the fourth year

-the first class of this new program will graduate in 2005

Library Privileges

-full undergraduate library privileges will be available to students in the Collaborative Nursing Program
only when they are registered as University of Windsor students during their 3rd year and the first
semester of their 4th year

-at all other times, Collaborative Nursing students may purchase an External Borrower’s Card: $10 for 4
months, $25 for 1 year

-Faculty members from St. Clair college and Lambton College are eligible for External Borrower’s Cards at no cost upon presentation of appropriate identification

Guidelines:

-External Borrower’s Cards do not include off-campus access to electronic databases at the Leddy
Library
