The Media Centre is located in the basement of the Main Building and it houses several different collections of various non-print formats including:
a large and growing collection of Canadian, U.S. and International maps are available for use and to be borrowed from the collection. See Maps for more information about our map collection
- Microfiche and Microfilm
Microfiche and microfilm do not leave the library. Several collections are available in microform including:
- Videos and DVDs
a growing collection of documentary, educational and wide-release films are available in VHS or DVD format. Equipment to view is available in the Media Centre. Videos and DVDs can be borrowed from the collection and are subject to standard loan periods. See Find Music and Videos in the library for more information.
- CDs, LPs and Cassettes
a large and growing collection of music CDs, vinyl LPs and Cassettes are available for in-library use only. These materials do not circulate from the collection. Equipment for listening is available from the Media Centre office including five turn-tables, a cassette player, and six personal "walkman" cd players with headphones.
